Port Eads Bound?

To Vic and all who will be lucky enough to attend UVII this year, you have my good wishes and envy. I am as big a fan of Port Eads and South Pass as any non resident, anywhere, and would be there with ya'll if I could. The stars - or something - are just not lined up right this year. Haven't run the boat enough since major modifications to strike out on a trip that long, my back is threatening to put me in the hospital any day now, and the french bastards I ultimately work for have two projects and a couple of other reports for me to write that they would not let me put off without a fight. Ya'll catch a few for me, hoist a few for me, and tell Daryl to keep cooking the eggs and bacon, even if Ric can't eat 'em! If Miss Vickie's crew is there, give them my regards, toast the lighthouse, and splash some water off the dock doing the South Pass Shuffle in the mornings!

Damn I wsh I could be there!
