Vibration

Guys,

The LightningShack has been in for a week. I noticed on the way to the marina after putting it in that it had a slight vibration on starb shaft.

I decided to re align the engine. The Engine alighnment was brought to within .004". The vibration got better but was still noticeable.

It is intermittently noticeable between 1000 and 2200 RPM's, kinda comes in and out mildly, then after that you don't notice it at all.

I think if it were a bent prop I would feel it though the whole range. Also because it got better after the engine alignment, I'm inclined to think it must be a cutlass bearing.

what do you guys think, should I pull it tomorrow and have the props checked, while I replace the cutlass bearings over the weekend. Or should I put a different prop on saturday in the water to find out whether it might just be a bent prop.

any input appreciated,

thanks
Mike Dolan
