Tom - thanks, you guys flying in just leave yours at home, we have enough. Snow had his fat ass parked under a ceiling fan in the shade while I was trying to modify a wrong impeller and make it work. The root problem was the wrong one had about an 8th inch too small a diameter, so the blades that were not compressed by the cam were sucking air. Anyway, the goof up I did was assume (never assume, get the facts, guys) that the bubble pack I had on the wall that I had written "5.5 KW" on was accurate. It was not, have no idea what pump it was for, but not this one. I got lazy in the midst of some office work yesterday, and did not take one of the new impellers out of the bubble pack and check it. Lesson learned, like we all need lessons. I can tell you one thing tho, having that infrared gun in your hand tells you right now is things are working right or not, before you burn things up and learn the harder way. My dumbs**t moment was assuming I had a Jabsco pump on the Phasor, when upon examining the tag under one of the impeller srews, it was an Oberhousen (sP?) and the Jabsco # I had did not cross to that pump. My local pump guys - Lastor, and first class people - got on the phone with Depco in FL, got it straight, and the correct impellers will be here in the morning. If I'd taken the tag to them in the first place vs. ordering on the phone, I'd have saved a lot of time, patience & money, but we all suffer from the human condition at times.
Looks like the weather for the UVI will be flat calm and hot. Bull dolphin committing suicide for those that want some meat, tuna too, and a lot of wahoo. Me? Blue Suits only.
