Thanks for all the input guys, I will check for all of these things. I am going to do a detailed photo inventory today and will email some of the shots that illustrate my concerns.

Peter, i like the blue sky thinking, I have a couple of points, the Baron model is configured quite differently than the moppie or sportsman. the cockpit is already quite far aft, so there is no room to bring the motor forward. Also, I'm restoring a classic and want to keep it cosmetically similar. Another point is that in rough weather at high speed, stern heavy is a good thing because your re entry is soft after launching the boat out of the water.

I'm still looking for real-life data on weights of any B 20's if anyone has any numbers.
