Steve: I stay on my B28 at least three weekends a month and just got back from a 10 day cruising/fishing trip from Louisiana to Destin, Florida. As much as my ego wants a B35, the little 28 is doing all that I ask of it. Now, I don't have three children to accomodate, but I'm not sure that even a 35 footer would give you any more berths. I do bring along an inflatable dinghy to explore the shallow coves and beaches and keep a 17 Whaler Montauk in the marina to do things the B28 can't do. All in all, the B28 and B31 are great boats that can fill most boating needs. No boat is perfect, you just have to decide what you do most and if your boat makes you happy doing it. Try different arrangements for sleeping, gear storage and single handing the boat. Give it more time and you may realize you have the perfect boat for you and your family.
