The 33 FBC is alot bigger than a B28 or B31. I've been on one while it was at the dock (in AC last summer), and it had a real lot of room. I asked the owner if it rocked much (the 33s are pretty tall--it was slightly taller than Charley's 35), and he said only when he stopped....
I have a B31, and we overnight on it a few times every summer (wife and 2 kids, last time 3 kids). Its like camping--at really nice marinas where my wife can relax and get a good dinner.
I live on the Chesapeake Bay, and its a great boat for that. Big enough to handle almost anything, and relatively low draft and small enough to get in almost anywhere.
I think my B31 is pretty easy to single-hand. I've even trolled her for stripers alone a few times--without autopilot and with the small rudders--that was a pain.
I also have a 17 Whaler Montauk to run around in when I want to go simple, light tackle, or take the kids tubing. Another great boat to have...
I responded because of the "buyer's remorse" comment. I've been there a few times--always when I'm in the middle of another project on my 36 year old boat. Usually I think about buying a B31 that's already been restored, or maybe something built in the last decade. But I get over it every time, and in the end am really happy with her. I keep working on her, and she keeps bringing me and the family home without fail or worry.
Give it some time.
