Everyone who has a gas B-31 is happy with his boat's performance and ride and doesn't feel it can be improved upon, except maybe for speed. I was one of them. I was backed into diesels because Chrysler wouldn't honor their new engine's warantees unless I enlarged my exhaust system. The cost of new engines plus all that came so close to a pair of Cummins, it didn't make sense not to. I couldn't believe the difference the weight, props etc made in the ride and handling. Even docking became easier. I wouldn't have believed it if told, and I suspect no one else will until they do it on their own boat. The best got better...no kidding.
