AC and Generator install

For those if you fortunate enough to have reverse cycle AC and a generator, I am contemplating my future project ideas and have a couple questions...

Where is the most simple location to install each of these items?

I am thinking a generator would go in my starboard engine box, outboard of the engine.

The AC unit would likely fit either behind the refrigerator, or under the aft seat of the settee, depending on the size. I suppose I could always put it under the V-berth, but I would be concerned about noise.

Any thoughts on this one?
