Now get this...

About nine years ago, a good customer decided to buy a new 32' boat with gas engines. The last gas boat he'd owned was a 30 something foot Mathews back in the late fifties. I started my relationship with him on a 46' Bertram.

I talked myself blue in the face trying to get him to go for the 300hp Yanmar diesel option. He couldn't be convinced & wouldn't spend the additional $30K, ($125K vs $155K). Money's no object to this guy, but....

So 5 years later, one of the EFI big blocks take a dump, he gets Bruce and me to do a repower & convert to 315hp Yanmars.

Total cost: $60K plus... He sold the boat 4 years later for top dollar. And it weren't a B31 either. Sure wish I could have saved him the $30+ by going diesel in the first place. Oh, well...
