I have a '69 FBC with an enclosure, no tower, and 454s, 1.5-1 gears, and 17x15 4 blades with #5 cup. I get 22 knots at 3000 rpm, about 20 knots at 2800 rpm. I got virtually the same numbers with 18x18 three blades.

I don't know, and don't want to know fuel burn. I'd guess about 22-24 gph total, but I'm guessing (sometimes when my wife is around I guess about 15 gph). I boat inshore (Chesapeake Bay) so range isn't an issue.

Part of the reason I bought the B31 I did was because it needed to be rescued (not real rationale, but it worked for me). I wound up with a solid boat that I've been redoing over the past couple of years as we've used her-- its a labor of love. Great boats.
