You don't mention which model 31 you are considering. If it is a FBC and you have carburated 454's, you can figure .8 to .9 NMPG. If they are fuel injected 8.1's you can expect this to increase to about 1.1 to 1.2 NMPG both based on cruise of 2800 to 3000 RPM. You will do better if you are looking at a Bahia Mar. I criuse at 22 knots in my FBC and burn 24 GPH total based on my Floscan.

I will leave the deisel question to the experts.
