Tell him to start with some removable weight in the bow sections, say about 500# of wet sand in gunny sacks with garbage bags around them to see what it does. Lead shot in cloth bags would be better, but wet sand will do fine for a test. That is about the same as 71 gal. of gas up there.

My view is that the B20 needs a lot of weight up front to run her best. It's a wide boat (8' beam) for a 20, and a few sacks of sand or concrete up in front will work wonders on the ride.
