Control Cble Adjusment

I have dual stations on my 26 FBSF. When I pull the throttles all the way back on the upper station idle is about 800 rpm. But when I pull the throttles all the way back down below the idle is about 1k. I dove under the lower station controlls where I found the jamb nut obviously loose on both of the the throttle cables.
question: is there a trick to "synchronizing" the two stations? Do I just re-adjust the lower cable to get the low idle, or does it affect the upper station when I do that?
I know it's a newbe question, but I'd rather ask than screw with crawling into that tight spot and doing it wrong.
