Sounds like he was an idiot. You are going to have an on going problem. Don't worry plenty of idiots to go around. Some idiots made our French doors up on our upstairs balcony. Same problem. Some kind of glue keeps comming out of window sealing. I keep putting 5200 to block it from comming out again. This would not be practical of course for your problem.The real solution unfortunatly for that appears to be a redo.
