Sorry to here you're still having troubles...
Most assuredly an injector problem. I've seen even new "out of the box" DD injectors fail. If your captain is mechanically adept, he could remove the valve covers, one at a time, with the engine at idle, push down on each rocker, one at a time, and determine which injector(s) is dead. It's also possible that the problem is just a loose or backed off nut on the injector rocker keeping that injector from firing.
A couple of spare injectors, injector timing tools, and the knowledge of how to change out an injector is an essential part of owning/operating a boat with DD iron.
