I think it is a wash. We use them to cast at night around rigs to catch tuna. A lot of times they tear up after one fish and you lose the bait. Kinda expensive at 15 to 20 bucks apiece. But it is pretty exciting to see a 50 lb yellowfin hit one hard on the surface, and then you have a good fight on a spinning rod. The frenzy is 4 or 5 dollars less than the yummee.
