Caulking going soft in the sun?

I have been thinking about the "to caulk or not to caulk" thread, and must admit, I am a bit nervous now.

Has anyone other than Dave had 5200 go soft in the sun? I never have.

I used 4200, so I hope I am safe, but is this a true fact that I might be at risk of having to do this damned rub rail project "all over again"?

Please tell me it isn't true! I just finished, and it actually looks ok!!!
