Trey , sorry to hear about your mishap. Non of us are imune to these things it's only when. Anyway you may want to consider installing a limit switch for the up position. Any lift manufacurer should carry them. It would automaticly shut the motors off after it goes so high of which you set that position.Just a thought. I even had mine drift off the lift when I first got the Can Do It. Wife called me in for supper and the tide really came up fast. Luckily I got it right before it hit the next door neighbors dock, he wasn't home at the time. Wew!. Dave K
