We raised a blue and a white on Saturday around the Spur but couldn't get the hook to stick on either of them. The blue was just a little rat, but he was as hot as a firecracker. We had just pulled all the lines in in preparation to go to the hill, but the teaser was still out. Of course, that's what he hit, and he headed south with it like a freight train. I tightened the drag a little bit hoping it would make him drop it long enough for us to drop back something with a hook in it. He let it go, then my brother fed him a softhead. He jumped all over it, but from the looks of the hook, it must have only stuck in the bill temporarily. Circled around for about a half hour but couldn't raise him back up. Nice to know Li'l Queenie still raises fish. See y'all in a few weeks.
