Thanks Rob, great story. That boat used to be my boat and is what got me completely hooked on Bertrams. Of course, Randy has done alot of work on the boat including paint, canvas, radar, new interior etc.. Sounds like you had a rocking ride over, your right sometimes going faster is better, when going downwind I've never met a maximum speed.

About 4 years ago I was out on the 25 and it was blowing 40-50 Knots with big seas. My wife and I were going from jericho to saltspring. The ferries had stopped, the cruise ships stayed in port and we took 45 minutes to get out of english bay into the westerly(about 4 nm)We then turned and ran SE for active pass with the waves behind us and the trip across the strait took another 45 minutes ( about 25nm)! Needless to say we were the only boat out there and I decided that I would only own Bertrams from then on. My Baron is leaving S.C. on wednesday and will be here in a week and a half. I'll email you once it shows up. See you on the pond
