Are my days numbered??

One of my water pumps has sprung a leak rate where the shaft comes out to the pully. That in it's self is no big deal. Question is these motors are raw water cooled and are 17 years old. HOWEVER they were in fresh water for 15 years, and I have been really really faithful about flushing them after each use. Soooo should I just replace the water pump and hope for the best? Or like my wife says "you wanted an excuse to repower it nows your chance. Timing could not be worse, I'm in the middle of repowering two other Bert's.. Jim
