I saw two Liuetenants from a cruiser berthed in Staten Island this morning. They were on the subway headed uptown.
I thanked them for protecting our country and gave them a thumbnail Cook's tour of the city.
God Bless all of them.
One looked as if he were twelve and had been in the Navy for 14 years! He was up from enlisted.
A few years back we had the CAG and his air group from the Kennedy, in Kennedy's Bar on W 57 St.
It was gratifying to note they could not buy a drink.
