Squid spreader bars? Are you cheating again, Mike? First you cut off the run to the canyon by 30 miles, now you are running spreader bars too?

Actually, I agree on last year's weather. As far as spreader bars go, the best I have used were the "splash bars" that I bought through Tournament Cable. I bought the medium size ones and put a bunch of tiny 4" squid on it and a jet on the back -- got a lot of albacore on that setup.
