Wayne,
The two aft secondary legs will need round metal backing plates exposed & under the brow. I'd recommend 1/4" 316L SS to minimize maintenance. The forward two secondaries to the bridge face should have a common backing plate running all the way across the bridge face to spread the load. They probably should also extend outboard by 4" or more beyond the contact points of the secondaries. This could be a single piece of 1/4" aluminum or the aluminum plate buffered with a 1/4" strip of Starboard.
The main legs to the deck should be backed with both Starboard and metal. These backing plates must be twice as large as the leg pads contacting the deck. Larger is better to spread the load & go with 1/2" Starboard if you have the room.
All backing plates should be bedded with 5200 at time of initial installation & TefGel used between the SS fasteners & the aluminum. Bond the aft two tower legs to your bonding system with 4 ga. marine wire.
Keep your aluminum treated with C-X from the get go...
Best regards,
Patrick
