Yeah,
Embarrasing, but always happy to be a quick fix.

My first time was on my second boat. I was in my DADs marina/slip at the time cause I was selling my 1st boat at my Marina and they couldn't fit another boat in, I was having soon to be in-laws out the following day so did a load of maintenance and a good cleaning. Figured I'd listen to that freshly tuned engine purr one last time before I left, turned the key and nothing. Frantic I ran down the dock and grabbed the yard mechanic as he tried to leave. He didn't care about any amount of money ( thats probly not true, I should specify any amount of money I HAD) and just wanted to leave. After my sob story he still wanted to leave. I had to start telling him who I was, who my DAD is and all the ties I had to his good accounts...he finally came down, shook the tranny cable hit the key and left. Every time we get together now I hear that story, maybe a few of you heard it as well, seems like everyplace I go somebodies heard that one. Or the story the following week when I was washing the boat and jumped off onto the painted dock and slid off into the water. Didn't think anyone saw, but...
