CRC and CorrosionX

I've used CRC forever. Usually with great results, but the talk here about CX really got me going.
It wasn't easy to do, No CX locally available.. I had to search and eventually I bought some on-line. I bought the manual squeeze bottle. It was about a year ago but I remember something to do with shipping kept me from getting the aerosol.
The stuff comes out of the squeeze bottle like 30 wt motor oil. It drips all over and collects gum and grime and generally makes a mess. I keep trying it on stuff, but the mess is a real bummer. I find I keep going back to my trusted CRC for general corrosion prevention.
So questions: Are you CX converts using it out of manual squeeze bottles or aerosol? Since I often see comments compairing it to WD40 but not to CRC, is that a local thing? I know CRC is out of PA and I assume it is available everywhere, but maybe not? (BTW WD40 is a far, far second choice for me to CRC)
If you have used both CRC and CX which do you like better?
I saw a post where Vic Roy suggested cutting CX with lacquer thinner...it made sense, but represents a fire hazard if not used wisely. I'm not being a pussy, but I get the feeling that CX/lac thinner might be about like the CRC I'm using, but with an added fire hazard.
