Don't forget about the emergency engine seawater intakes into the bilge from a 3 way valve for the engine pick-ups. That will suck more water out of the bilge than any bilge pump will . It is used on most commercial vessels and some here on the post. I have two 2000 GPH aft all the way and another 2000 GPH foward in my dry birth compartment bilge. Also put a high water alarm(Rule) epoxied to one of the tops of the stern 2000 GPH pumps. The siren is mounted at my dash. (I'm on a lift)My GFO packing occasionally will need adjustment . Usually once a year that's all . No water in the bilge. Dave K
