Guys,
Triton II has a 2000gph Rule under the cabin sole and a 2000gph Attwood at the transom. Then there is a 1500gph Rule pump-on-a-stick with 12 feet of hose and 18 feet of wire with battery clip ends as a back up.
I still have problems with accumulating water under the cabin sole but don't want to partition off the forward pump. Read about a way to manage the accumulating water by adding a small (500gph?) pump with a built-in switch as low as possible in the cabin bilge just to keep water from building up. The hose is rigged with a check valve to keep backflow under control when the pump shuts down. Wiring can be spliced into the big pump or have a separate run. The biggest job is to run the hose and install a new outlet fitting in the hull.
In the case of serious water build-up the small pump won't keep up but the bigger one will take over.
It is more of a housekeeping solution but it just might work to minimize water and odor.
Shoulda used dripless packings...shoulda replaced the rudders and tubes...shoulda.....
