I cruise my Mercs at 3000rpm, just before the secondaries open also, top out at 4200rpm, right in the middle of the 4000-4400 range. Prop shop tells me I am dialed right in and leave it alone. I cleaned the bottom and use micron which doesn't build up, my boat is a Bahia Mar which should be lighter and have less wind resistance than the flybridge models. Floscans show 22-26 gph at cruise and .75-.92 mpg. Gps has been switched to knots (because people pick on me up here on Long Island), and shows 22kts cruise and 30kts wide open. Used to be about 25mph and 35.6mph respectively before the switch. When I launch I can convert back and see if the mph is still the same. My tank holds 172gals and my auxiliary's are shot and need replacement, but made the run from Freeport to Montauk (102miles) on 144gals and the run from Freeport to Atlantic City (92 miles) on 124gals.
