The first year I had the same problem, so I removed a fitting. The following year I installed a drain near the stern, problem solved[wrong]. The next year the yard blocked me stern up, my forward bildge pump was incased in ice. I put a second drain in the middle bottom of cabin area and I don't care what position the yard blocks me in. The drains also helps clean bildge in spring
