Don't use epoxy on an exhaust system, polyester only. Epoxy has a lower melt point.

Sand the area down to bare glass, beyond paint and crud, if wet it will need to be dried so no water will get into repair.

Wipe down with acetone and get some chopped mat and pull apart. Do a couple of layers over the leak and out a couple of inches. Let set up and run check.

Don't mix the polyester to hot.
