I hate to respond to my own question, but I have been looking at the regulations and what I have been able to decipher is simply " they can't leak " and it is mandatory that A1 hose be used from fuel pump to carburator or metalic lines, but other then that, all I could find on Rubber Lines says it can't leak and a lesser grade can be used from tank to pump.
Regs on metalic lines, shouldn't have excessive corrosion and must be seamless.
Other then that no real recommendations.
Now as I am reading here, copper is mandatory to the Coast Guard and Insurance companies. Strange I thought I had heard copper "Was still allowed but not recommended", buddies new boat has all rubber lines. Do regs changed from state to state? I won't call my insurance company as that haven't asked for a survey and I would like to leave well enough alone.
Thanks for the help
