Carl, Just went thru the same process and had the same dilema. Having an extensive background in the plumbing trade I have had a lot of experience with copper and my biggest concern is that copper can and will by constant vibration "Work Harden". Basically causing it to become brittle and break. To demonstrate take a piece about 2 feet long and bend it back and forth and of course it will eventually break in half. However, after consulting a friend of mine who is an aircraft mechanic and happens to be the most anal, methodical, meteculous person I know, He told me that he did not see a problem with using copper provided that it was properly strapped using the stainless steel rubber insulated straps to restrain it properly. I'm aware that boats don't fly but coming from a person like him I felt comfortable going back with copper VS. rubber. Dave
