foam question

Need some advice from you foam experts. I have some sinkholes behind the bulkhead at the camp. Worst one is about 2' deep and maye 3' in a semi-circle. I have been fixing them in the past with bags of concrete, gravel and new dirt. I was thinking about pouring some liquid foam in and letting it expand and fill up most of the holes, then put some topsoil on top and re-sod with grass. Am I crazy? Seems like it would spread the load out and maybe keep the sinkholes from coming back.
