Paul, Itook the advice of a local marine boat yard and used a regular commercial grade paint stripper called "Zip-Strip" in the yellow can and it worked well just washed the area that we stripped with lots of water at the end of the day. There is a stronger version of this product that comes in a blue can that is termed "Industrial Strength" but the local hardware store did not stock it and I dont know if it is rated for marine use on fiberglass. On the note of whipping out the trusty belt sander we tryed that too for a while but unless your really talented you are going to go thru the gel coat in places. I tryed that for about a half a day, thought I had areally good resporator, woke up the next morning looking and feeling like I had been on a three day tequilla drinking binjj. The bottom line is its not easy and it takes considerable time. Dave
