Welcome aboard, to the B31 board and aboard your new refurbed B50. Capt. Patrick hit the nail right on the head as far as navigation of the trip. The Okeechobee waterway is peacful and scenic but slow though the locks and Manatee zones. Probably the best route however. My 31 came across the Gulf from Destin in 2000 to Ft. Myers Beach. He did it straight but paid the price in fatigue.But that was him and the mechanic. Good time to cross, not too bumpy but you will have some seas. The 50 will respond like a charm though.
