Capt. Patrick has the connector joints of swivel socket fittings that fit the balls on the tiller arms. They are available with either 1/2 or 3/4 female pipe thread. My tie bar is a piece of 3/4 inch stainless steel pipe with standard pipe threads on the ends. Connector fittings are also available from Lewis Marine. Hope this helps.
