I have been using Nitrile impellers but have switched back to the rubber neopreme. The Nitrile will give you more pressure but less volume of water. The reason why I went to the Nitrile was of fear of running them dry as I have my 31 on a lift. It is sometimes difficult to tell when it is low enough in the water to start as the intakes are all the way near the bottom amidships. Well I've still been blowing impellers and now have listened to the the pump people and the manufacturer. You will not hurt your cooling system or anything like that but I have found they have not lasted any longer than the rubber ones. Also change the cams every 600 hours. That will cause premature impeller failure. Dave K
