Side Panels-Cockpit

I removed the side panels of my SF so long ago (23yrs,)I can't remember how the lower support was fastened to the deck,or for that matter how it is shaped.I'm assuming it is about 3/4 thk. X 1 1/2 or 2in high and screwed/sealed to the deck.

Would someone please refresh my"OLD TIMER" memory.
