Walt, yes I am outraged.
White Bear, my mechanic is a long time friend that also extends certain favors, (Like when I can't afford to pay a major job all at once), that he doesn't offer to everyone.
Dug, if it weren't for bad luck right now, I'd have no luck at all.
Dave, ne need to make offers he can't refuse. I'm sure he will reimburse me for replacement provided I can find replacements.
In general he is a top notch mechanic and good friend. He has even offered to "appear" at the boat with me to "assist me" if needed, in order to save $$$$ in comparison to the yard mechanic fees. Originally I was hot under the collar but realize that this was just an oversight on his part, and I know he'll do the right thing.
Otherwise, we revert to "PLAN B"!!
