Hull weakness, lifting strakes area ,bow?

Well I've joined the ranks of having a problem with the lifting strakes area of the bow. My glass man / hull guy tells me I have two weak spots on the strakes near the bow. Nothing to do with the lift or anything close. I have read on previous posts with other faithful having that same or similar problem. Anyway 7-8 hours to repair including painting time.

Always surprises but this isn't too bad $450 or so to repair. I'm paying someone else since my rehab project is already spoken for in my time end of the bargin. On the bright side I pick-up my new cockpit tommorrow at Bertram in Miami. I like these new 2 X 2 all fiberglass square tubing (green)from Mc Master's that replaces the wood for under deck framing. More fun but worth it in the long run.

Sounds like the UVI Gang is going to have a blast. You guys have fun and catch a big Blue for me. I never landed one , not a local fish here in our shallow Gulf waters off Florida's west coast.
