Cabin Sole-Capt. Pat?

The cabin sole is done--time for finishing. I made it out of 3/4" teak & holly veneer marine ply. Two panels/hatches make up the main part of the sole that goes from the cabin door to the v-berth entrance. Each panel/hatch is about 2' x 3'. They rest on 2 supports I made that run from the aft cabin bulkhead to the cabin/v-berth bulkhead. The supports are about 3" wide by 3" deep by 6' long. I want the ply sole/hatches that rest on the supports to function as hatches so that I have ready access to the bilge/water tank/bilge pump, etc.
I plan on finishing the 2' x 3' hatches with Capt. Pat's thinned epoxy, straight epoxy, varnish procedure.
After I do this, will I need to attach cletes to the 2' x 3' hatches to keep them from warping, or will the epoxy finish take care of that? I know that the Bertram hatches had pretty large cletes (thanks Walter and Doug).
If I do have to make cletes, I'm thinking about making them out of stainless box or L stock for maximum strength in minimum space (I don't have much room over the water tank).
Thanks in advance for any advice/input.
