NC Bertram Rendezvous

Welcome to All,

Capt. Lin Spears just emailed that the 2005 NC Bertram 31 Rendezvous is scheduled for the weekend of June 4th in Beaufort, NC. Boats will gather at the Beaufort Docks on Friday, June 3rd for dockside fellowship. On Saturday morning (09:30 +/-), the fleet will head out to Harkers Point on Harkers Island and raft up for the cookout (the cookout will be catered, so we need a headcount). If the weather and seas are inviting, the fleet may make a run to Cape Lookout after we depart from Harkers Point.

All Bertram owners and friends welcome, so bring those 31s, 25s and 20s to the outing (larger Bertrams also). Well-behaved children and dogs are welcomed. To reserve dockage at Beaufort and give a head-count for the lunch, please email Capt. Lin at rapscallion31@aol.com, or call him at (910) 228-8456.

PS: It was a beautiful sight last year to see ten Bertram 31s racing from Harkers Point to Beaufort Inlet. I couldn't tell whether it was Capt. Patrick and Bruce on Buddy Boy or John C. on Sawdust that was leading the sprint when the Coast Guard threw the blue light on them. It became especially entertaining when the female Coastie dressed down our entire group! Boys and their toys....
