Opinions on steering compass?

I have to replace my steering compass. I've noticed a wide range of prices accross models and makes. My current one is a Ritchie Super Sport 2000 flat card.
Does anyone have one they particularly like?...or dislike?
Damping is important, I'd gladly pay more for a compass that really works when running in chop, but I have never actually seen one that does.
