That should work. When you hook the new ground wire up to the bus bar, take some tape and wrap the reds where they rub on the ground bus bar to avoid insulation wearing thru on the reds and shorting out and catching fire. For sure remove the fuses and polish the ends and also polish out the inside of the fuse holders with some emery cloth wrapped around a small dowel. Then shoot with CX.
