I haven't heard of anything like that , so dramatic. Most policies do have a "Named Storm" deductible (increase), usually two times regular deductible, sometimes a percentage of value. I haven't heard of a total exclusion. This denial of coverage seems it would be contra to the intent , which is to add value at the time of a loss. but states are allowing most anything now, to get insurance companies to write some type of policy there, who knows, but the state would have had to approve, but alot of rules have been relaxed. A boat of that value tho, is pretty much take the best you can get these days, in Florida, you have to make the best of a bad situation. All of the Companies are still licking their wounds . A call to the Florida Dept. of Ins. would answer some questions, in a few days after talking to a few derelicts, probably. I saw many a trailer hauling storm damaged boats west thru the Interstate system in Baton Rouge.
