Glad you ain't fried kid, that would ruin my day. Whew!
Remember, in the instructions that come with GFCI's it tells you to test them monthly. They ain't kiddin', those things don't last forever. Had one in the kitchen that is rarely used go fluey while the ones in regular use work perfectly after twenty years.
Ain't science wonderful.
Be down tomorrow for the weekend, perhaps our paths will cross and you can take a look at the turbo problem first hand. Two heads are better than one, especially when not running on 110 volts
