Early Bertram gunnel vents

A couple of the faithful may be interested in this, so here goes.

I have a gasser and need gunnel vents. My B31 is a '69, and has pretty plain chrome/bronze mismatched vents. The early B31s (and some other Berts) had what I think are really great looking gunnel vents that are pretty low profile and have what looks like 4 squares for the air intakes. There are some pics of them in the Legend of Bertram book, and as I remember, Walter's Bluebeard has 'em.

Anyway, after casually looking for these early vents for the past couple years, I've now got a complete set of 4. They show up on EBay with a description of something like "early Chris Craft Bear Claw Style Vents." There is a pair listed right now from the same seller that I just got a pair from. They're out there if you want them, it just took me awhile to realize where. Hope this helps someone out (JJ?).
