Formica w/Epoxy glue?

I'm going to laminate the kick panels in the cockpit.

I bought white formica today.

I thought I would try laminating them with West System Epoxy as opposed to contact cement.

Are there any tricks for using Epoxy when laminating?

I guess I will have to wait until the glue hardens before I trim?

I would imagine rolling the epoxy on both surfaces will still work best?
