Tony,

I replaced mine with a Blue Sea's 9006 on/off battery switch. Installed in the same location as the old solenoid. Yes, I have to open the engine box to operate it but it will work when I need it. Cleans up some wiring as well. If you use a solenoid use a good one. Good Luck
